Especially since it was said (somewhere, can't recall where) that GW2 info will be released "later this year" - best time would be at PAX.
I still stand by my statement and my response to what you found. Regina specifically mentioned OTHER games that would be at PAX, but left out GW2 in a GW2 specific thread. From her silence I personally think we can safely assume she was going for harm minimization by accentuating the things that would be there.

Also, don't put too much stock in the statement "later this year" as back in 2008 Gaile said that the community could get excited about all the wonderful information they would be sharing with us that year. We all know how that turned out...

Believe me, i would LOVE to be proven wrong. Please, please, please Anet prove me wrong. All i'm saying is we shouldn't get our hopes up, because in our past experience with Anet, these hopes will probably turn out to be in vain.

But it is important to note that she confirmed ArenaNet will be there... and ArenaNet's only game is GW and GW2.

Of course, you are right, that doesn't approve anything, but it does give me hope!

Anet disapointed you, but in my case it did not.

So keeping the hopes up ,for me at least, means lookign forward to some new information regarding a up coming new game. You should generalize by puting every one in same boat f dissapointment with you. They provided what they promised for as long as they thought was financially profitable after EotN Campaign system was less profitable so they turned around to more traditional means.. IF you sucked a game dry.. Make a better, new, fresh experience for thei playerbase. Games dont last forever, and honestly they shouldnt.

In any case i agree with Konig and share his confidence about news arriving at PAX

Alright then?

But it's not only if they'll follow, but also if they'll stay. An MMO is worthless if it isn't able to hold its players.

I think it's great for NCSoft (and by default, good for ArenaNet) to have synergy between NCSoft games. I mean, they advertise other NCSoft games in Guild Wars boxed games!

So, not sure how people moving from GW to Aion is a bad thing.

Isn't it true that GW's whole "lack of subscription fee" means they don't directly compete to any other MMORPG?

I have 0 problem with people playing Aion.

I just have a pet-peeve for people claiming it to be "THA BEST" when they haven't even fully experienced the endgame content. This has been the demise of many an MMO: insane hype, but just drops immediately after that.

Well, yeah, how can it be the best when it's still in beta?

It looks like eye-candy to me, and I have a deep distrust of games that look pretty. (Usually, but not always, games that look very good are lacking in other departments).

If Aion is one of those rare breeds that actually has great gameplay with great graphics, well, color me impressed. Probably not going to buy it, however, I have too many MMORPGs already.

Anyone remember how excited we were at the first golden sun 3 teaser?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VK3PiBJvElE

I predict GW2 will give us all the same feeling of excitement once they show a teaser.
I mean, like golden sun 3, we all knew it was coming. But some of us just can't help but piss our pants.

Hate to disappoint, but I never heard of Golden Sun.

The last game I was really excited about seeing a video of was StarCraft 2. That marine teaser video blew me away, even in Korean.

"Hell, it's about time."

(video from May 18, 2007..... but no one ever complains how long it take Blizzard games to come out!)

I've never heard of Golden Sun either...

For me, it was the Diablo 3 Teaser.

Speaking of eye candy, I hope GW2 looks even better than this upcoming MMO (which, incidentally is made by a large number of ex-NCSoft employees who all quit en masse). It certainly one-ups Aion. Some of the landscapes are amazing, and landscapes have generally been low-res in most MMOs.

Hmmm, is it true BlueHole "stole" the Lineage 3 code and made it into TERA?

Anyway, apparently it's in closed beta already.

Here's character creation? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZQNS5gpPG0

I'd rather hear that then all the pirihia WoW fanbois complaining about how "this game sucks, WoW is better" in every youtube video and game website. People being excited about an upcoming game is a lot less pathetic then a bunch of people being... jealous (for lack of a better term) of one and trying to scare people away from it.

You've missed out on the best GBA RPG of all time. No exaggeration.
With its deep storyline, amazing music, breathtaking graphics, and epic gameplay, it ranks up with the best video games of all time. I'm surprised that many people don't know about golden sun, despite its huge fanbase..

And keep in mind Golden Sun 3 was like Gw2. It took years of them hinting development until finally, the first teaser. I'm just surprised progress at Anet is so fast. Guild wars, as it is, is huge and looks so huge it gives me awe that they can produce it so fast. So if Guild Wars 2 is an improvement, I don't know what to say.

Right now, I want ANET to take all the time they need though and not rush GW2.

There are no needs to look into Guild Wars 2. What good will it do to you?

For the lack of information they should keep it that way iff Anet keeps rubbing screens and such in peoples face they get expectations and afterwards they always complain how crappy the game is course they didn't get what they expect.

It's funny to say Gw2 is the new Duke Nuker Forever
But i have my concerns they mist 1 deadline i think Anet got over ambitious with there game. And seeing the NCSoft Infesters Thingy doesn't convince me that there is gonna be something soon no CBT (Central Beta Test) announced
so in my eyes there is no game.
